Best practices in teaching are evidence-based and research-driven, but how much current research acutally makes its way into the classroom? Given the shortage of time most classroom teachers face, more than likely they don't spend their spare time reading peer-reviewed journal articles. Perhaps professional development provided by the school or district provides a source of new ideas for classroom practice, but is it ongoing? Are teachers supported as they implement new ideas? What does adequate support look like?

Wink Research, to be fully launched in the fall of 2023, will provide teachers with easy-to-access, easy-to-understand, and quick-to-read strategies for teaching based on current research. The premise is that what you can read while you drink your morning coffee will be enough to complement your current methods or provide incentive for you to improve your instructional approaches or try something entirely new. After all, we teach because we care about our students. It makes sense, then, that we want to use the very best methods to provide an equitable education for all. 

Wink Research is a platform for merging academia with classroom practice.  We believe there shouldn't be a divide between the two and hope to create a teacher friendly way to bring them together.
